BPL will give you cancer!
BPL will kill you! BPL will burst the small capallaries in your body, and you will bleed from your eyes!! At least, this is what a caller to Joyce & Dave's Power Hour is saying. He claims to be VERY well informed about what the Globalists are up to. BPL, as he puts it, is an electric fence for people. The upcoming "bird flu epidemic" will actually have been the murder of thousands of people by BPL. And it's not like the caller can't back up his claim. As proof, he says the Globalists have the fix in for the Super Bowl. This year it's Pittsburgh. So place your bets. Frank Dresser |

Don't think it was, but the caller said he'll call back on Monday. I'm sure Joyce and Dave will take the call, especially if one of their adveritsers can put together some sort of anti-BPL cream or herb. Frank Dresser |

Okay, guys, Tin Foil Hat Mode Off... Not to appear as Sir Doyle the Dense or anything, (too late!) but I actually learned of BPL and its effects on Shortwave just this morning. According to PtWBR, BPL *does* interfere with ("jam" if you like) shortwave signals. And according to PtWBR the Feds, supposedly, are keen on the idea of BPL ("supposedly"). In a macabre way, it's fascinating that a medium that is relatively hard to jam/comtrol (shortwave) can be hampered by a medium that's (comparatively) easier to control. Granted, according to "Passport." the interference can be countered with good antenna placement. Still, it makes one wonder... Just call me "Jiffy Pop!" |

I wish it was true that you could counter BPL interference with antenna placement. Well maybe if you move the antenna to the next county. -- Telamon Ventura, California |

The best way to block BPL from you home is to place .01uf caps between your mains and ground after the meter on YOUR wiring. Unfortunately, this will have the side effect of muting BPL in the whole neighborhood. I can live with that |

Yet that bypassing hardly stops BPL in the homes where BPL is currently working, and it certainly isn't making the BPL neighborhoods quiet. I can live with that We all can live with plans which change nothing. Frank Dresser |

It's not like the BPL noise will be coming from a single point source which could be nulled out. The noise will be radiated from the power lines and will be coming from every direction. However, we can hope that the alternatives to BPL continue to get better and cheaper. Or maybe I need to dip my radio in Miracle-2. I'm sure Joyce and Dave will clue me in. Frank Dresser |

Nope, this is because the bypass only effects certain frequencies that happen to be the proper ones for the capacitors and the wiring from the pole pig to the place you put the capacitors. In addition, the pole pig would block your trap from affecting anyone else on the line. |
