The DX-394 can be a respectable receiver if you do some of the mod's

I once saw that Mike Mahakian (sorry if I mispelled his name) has or did
have a modded Radio Shack DX-394 radio for sale,I think it was that
model of radio.I dont remember his website/homepage URL though.
