Bottom line, if you want the priveleges, you takes the test (and that
pretty
much holds true for anything), you don't get to 'cherry-pick' the
particular
things that you feel comfortable with being tested on, or that which

YOU

You're sounding more and more Liberal with each post!

And you're sounding like the typical code zealot. You'd make the perfect
elitest liberal.

Are you currently licensed?

Nope. I'm waiting to see how the current license thing shakes out. Been
meaning to for awhile now. I listen in on some 2m nets and stuff via the
scanners and am starting to get the bug to talk insted of listen.

From what I've seen the current ham tests are just like what Microsoft had
for NT certification. Petty easy to pass with some memorization. But MSFT
got wise and made the tests harder with each OS release. It would be fairly
easy to make the tech test harder by not publishing the answers. You'd get a
better quality of hams then instead of people with good memory who can
barely do code.

That would certainly be true, however, it seems as though you do want a license
but are unwilling to learn the code. So, I guess you'll have to sit on the
sidelines waiting to see how things shake out.

But, you can obtain a license now and talk till your lungs collapse, you just
can't get on HF without doing that nasty code thing.

I hereby rest my case.

Well, I guess I am an 'elitist'. I was able to pass the 13 WPM requirement

to
obtain a General class license.

I didn't allow the code requirement to hold me back whether I was going to

ever
use it or not. I wasn't lazy, I wasn't dumb, I simply wanted the ticket,

and I
didn't whine about it.

Now, I guess I could use your mentality (and that of others) to provide a
'mental block' to my obtaining a Extra Class ticket if I desired to get

one. I
could whine, complain, stamp my feet and say that there are questions on

the
Extra exam that pertain to things that I just don't personally plan on

using in
Amateur Radio.

But would I allow those things to get in my way? No, I'd simply buckle

down,
study, and take the test.

I'm not a whiny Liberal.

Well, your constant whining that removing code will "dumb down" ham radio

No, never said that. You're a Liberal because you're making whiny excuses as to
why you can't or won't undertake a particular task, just like Liberals are wont
do.

Like a little crybaby child you're simply ****ed that there is something on a

going to whine, cry and complain until you get your way. It's simply a fact of
life that the code test is currently there, either pass it or go without the
ticket. It's that or let life pass you by and/or catch up with your inability to
perform a certain task. (i.e. the code requirement is dropped)

Me? Whine? If you think I'm whining then you've clearly missed the

point,
'tard boy.

It's those who are to lazy to learn a measly 5 WPM who are doing the
whining.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

LMFAO
It's those that shun progress that whine the most.

How does dropping a code test equate to 'progress'?

I might buy the fact that without it, you might 'progress' to HF

privileges, but
beyond that, it'll take a heap of convincing.

Stop making Liberal excuses and just learn it and get on with life rather

than
trying to make life fit your particular vision of reality.

Why is it when you're backed into a corner you play the liberal card?

Just how am I backed into a corner? It's YOU who don't have the license. It's
you who are whining about the code test. It's YOU who have even made up a lame
excuse as to why YOU haven't even taken the Tech exam.

I've done all that, so how does it equate that I'm backed into a corner?

I have
an RNC card in my wallet how about you?

What does that prove? That you signed up? Other than that, it proves nothing.
You are free to go into that polling booth and cast your vote for Liberals all
day long.

Try again.

Just what point was that? I can use it any time I so desire (and did so
yesterday, 'tard boy. Please try to pay attention.), YOU, on the other

hand, do
not have that option.

LMFAO at the newly minted Liberal.

Yes, yesterday on VHF. So basically your code license is doing nothing for
you except give your fragile ego a boost.

Pay attention 'tard. I can use that code license ANYTIME I so choose.

YOU, on the other hand cannot!

What part about that don't you understand?

LMFAO at the clueless yet again.

So let's hear just ONE vaild reason to keep the code requirement in.

It's just a 'question' on the test, get over it already and stop trying to
obtain some validation for your inability to learn something.

No you do Steve. Has Mike ever called you a Tard? What's with this tard ****
anyway. Doe's every argument you engage in have to be reduced to name
calling?

And YOU want someone to change the licensing requirements so that YOU can give
YOUR fragile ego a boost.

I gave my ego a boost a long time ago by actually passing the exam!

I just have to call 'em as I see 'em.

Getting back to my original question... is there some reason you can't tell me
to go f--k myself on your own, or do you need a sock puppet to do that?

I think I already did Steve. It was a public post. If you have a problem
with how it was served? then be specific! I aim to please.
