Hi Lenny:
Here are pictures of the insides of a Tecsun PL-200 radio. It's hosted on radiointel.com, a fun & useful site. In some of the pictures you will see tightly coiled copper wire around a bar (that's the ferrite). It's at the top of the radio, and would be on the left side if you're looking at the front.
