well, I got impatient and ripped it apart, figured out everything except the
front panel which I think might be better left alone. using all the methods I have developed over the past couple years I was able to clean off a lot of dirt and touch up a couple of tiny dings and now have a collectable D2999 for my collection I have added a few radios to my collection this month so I need to update my web page. "mike maghakian" wrote in message ... I just received a D2999 today which I hope to add to my collection if I can take it apart and give it a good cleaning (this is what I do to almost every radio that goes into my collection) has anyone out there taken one apart ? I believe there are some tricks to the disassembly process that I need to know since I have not tracked down the service manual yet. please email me direct at |
