I found one in near-mint condition several years ago and did an AGC mod on it to reduce AGC pumping (IIRC, I increased the capacitance in the AGC network to slow down the AGC). I have a service manual for it somewhere if you need additional info. I also have its baby brother, the D2935, another great-sounding receiver. RK I believe I have one of these. I bought it new from Sears in 2000. If I'm right, this has AM, FM, and TV 2-13 with weather band. It's a nice radio, but I didn't like the way the FM band was squashed all the way over to the right on the same switch as one of the TV bands. Having the FM band bulldozed all the way over to the right prevents selective tuning. |
