Default $100 Radio ?

Keep in mind that you will be stuck with that cheap radio for a long time as
they have Zero resale value.

Many Thanks to the group for all the good advice. Im researching it all
closely on the net, but I imagine it will end up being the Kaito 1103 as
Id like to get the most frequency coverage for the money. It also has
the sideband feature, which I know nothing abut apart from CB radio, but
am learning about it. I like to pick up all the stations I can. I even
once built a rig using the yoke from the back of an old TV picture tube
attached to a cheap audio amplifier (like a "super ear" or some such)
and could pick up some kind of beacon loud and clear. Interesting as it
cost next to nothing to make.
I like the Kaito, but will also probably pick up an old used heavy rig,
something like an old Realistic SW-100 just for nostalgia )
Again, many thanks!
Nathan
