"running dogg" wrote time. Ace, have you tried the 6035 tx at 0300? It should come in even better in Michigan. 6035 had the best signal for me last night. But definitely not as good as 5975 used to be. If I don't catch it in the early mornings then it will be sayonara to them if not SW in general. Now RHC and CRI can fill in the void sarcasm mode Well, the 5975 tx was from a transmitter in the US, so naturally it was strong. 6035 is from South Africa, so it will be weaker. Ascension always puts in a good signal on 6005, but 7160 is in the middle of the 41m ham band and is thus subsceptible to QRM (like last night when some sort of data tx was there). CRI seems all too happy to fill the void left by VOA and BBC, and somebody posted here a letter to the Washington Post in which a VOA employee urges Americans to listen to CRI. Sometimes I think that everybody in the US govt is smoking crack. Oh wait, Dumbya refused to answer questions about his cocaine usage... |
