I would like to buy a "portable" tabletop ( not too big and heavy! ) SW somewhere around $500 or less but I will be using this in brasil on the east coast and mostly want to pick up the BBC and stations from Nigeria and Mozambique. I read in the Passport there are certain radios better at picking up signals in certain areas of the world but don't know which is which. Also, it is very confusing all of this about antenaes, some you need on tabletop, others no. Any ideas?? thank you for any and all help Unfortunately, Mozambique is no longer on shortwave. Radio Terra Verde, Maputo, was heard in April of 2005 on 7135 but apparently has not been reactivated since then. dxAce Michigan USA |
