Yes Joe it IS double conversion. I ALSO thought you needed 12khz output for
DRM. I also thought dual conversion virtually assured you wouldn't pick up multiple images throughout the h.f. range... "Joe Analssandrini" wrote in message oups.com... Dear Jim, Is this radio dual-conversion? I thought that, for proper DRM reception, the output had to be 12 kHz. Am I incorrect? What would you need to receive DRM with this receiver? Best, Joe Jim Hackett wrote: I just got mine today. A definite improvement over the Grundig/Eton S-350/BCL2000/3000 series of radios. PLL tuner. (NO DRIFT) 50 memories 455 khz I.F. output for DRM (Why they made it a PAL connector, I'll never know) Separate bass and treble with an RF gain that actually works throughout it's travel (unlike the S350) Not only does the display light up, so does the buttons... 4 "D" cells or 4 "AA"'s BIG TURN-OFF (It seems ALL radios have at least ONE) NO NUMERIC KEYPAD! Luckily the fast setting gets you through 10 MHz fairly quickly. There are 3 10 MHz segments... How good is it? I dunno, I just now got it. Anyone else get one? What do you think of it? |
