FM does better in a office building because it is broadcast on a 100 times shorter wavelength that can penetrate the non-conductive openings to where you are located inside the building. Yes, I understand all of that. Digital mode AM is not going to make a difference on a office building penetration over analog. Yes, I understand that also. That's why I'd rather see it move to FM than to "digital AM". FWIW, if radio stations really *are* serious about this "digital AM" stuff, then they need some clever marketing to make it work. Call it "ZM" or something - make people think it's something brand new. "Digital AM" isn't going to cut it because it's stuck with the "AM" name.
