Just this morning I start thinking about a new j-pole design.
After some search on the internet, I made a simple drawing and put it up he http://www.fluxfm.nl/jpole/antenna.htm Would you please be so kind and take a look up there, and let me know of the way I want to build it can work, or not work at all because of? Looking forward for any reply! Best regards, Michel PD1AIW |

Not sure what would hapen with the 1/4 wave matching secton but if you extend it to 1/2 wavelenght you will find you have just reinvented the double zepp antenna with about 1.8 db of gain. If you extend each side to 1.3 wavelengths devided by 2 you will have an extended couble zepp with more gain. |
