Default Radio Habana Cuba - New Years Greeting

Received in the mail today from Radio Habana Cuba a New Years greeting card,
schedule and wallet calendar.

Envelope was not postmarked, just the usual Porte Pagado rubber stamp. Not
certain if mailed late or it was that my zip code was missing.

Did it have a Obama sticker on it? ;-)

No, but I'm almost positive that Cuba will issue a stamp depicting Fidel and
Barry in a warm embrace.

You guys in the Excited States are now "permitted" to receive mail
from Cuba?

Bloody hell, next they'll be advertizing accompanied tours via Mexico
City or Toronto.

How does one say "Intourist" in Spanish?

I've received mail from Cuba since at least the mid 60's.

Don't think it was ever illegal to receive mail from Cuba, only to go there.
Of course, if you do receive mail from Cuba, you end up on an NSA or FBI
watch list. Guess that's no big deal anymore, since if you receive any
mail, e-mail or phone calls from outside the US, you are put on those lists.
Even if it's your son/daughter/father/mother/uncle/whatever who's overseas
fighting for their country..

Yes, the shortwave hobby has some interesting effects. When I joined the Navy, I
had an nice interview with a fellow about the mail I'd received from communist
countries.
