Apparently, R. Verdad, Chiquimula, Guatemala is back to full power
(700 watts, per their website and letters to G. Hauser). Ample evidence was also provided by their signal last night, which was the most potent I have ever hard it. Propagation on March 26 early AM UTC was amazing in many respects already, but their signal was pumping in here at S-8 with the preamps off, a first. Armchair for the first time. And, a minor adjustment to their frequency, now 4055.00 kHz. Bruce Jensen, CA, USA |

Could be - but the sfi has not risen that much, and on days with the sfi as high as 150, it was never this good. Moreover, the lower bands in general - 60/75/90 - were just so-so in propagation. Nobody else besides RV that I could tell had a significant improvement at my QTH. So, my vote goes to the restored transmitter in this instance. |
