Rich Davis Returns To KDWB/KTCZ

iHeartMedia Seattle Senior VP/Programming Rich Davis is returning to
Minneapolis as Program Director of Modern AC Cities 97.1 KTCZ and CHR 101.3
KDWB. Davis will also serve as Director of Contemporary Hit Music Stations
for the Western Great Lakes Region overseeing all the CHRs in the region.
He replaces JB Wilde who exited on Friday. Wilde had replaced Davis at
KDWB/KTCZ in March 2015 after previously programming for the company in
Atlanta, Greensboro, Hartford, Lexington, and Winchester VA. Wilde may
remain with the company in a new capacity. During his brief 15 month tenure
in Seattle, Davis oversaw the shakeup of four of iHearts five FMs in the
market in January.

Ohana Media Group Country 96.3 The Wolf KXLW Houston AK/Anchroage underwent
a metamorphosis last week and relaunched as 96.3 The Moose. The rebranding
comes along with a musical shift to focus on music from the 1980s through
today. The station describes its new sound as the great songs from the 90’s
and early 2k’s from superstars like George Strait, Reba McEntire, Garth
Brooks, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw…plus the classics from Waylon, Willie,
George Jones and Johnny Cash. Throw in a dash of today’s new stars like
Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and the Zac
Brown Band and you have found the new traditional yet contemporary Country
sound that listeners have asked for. The Moose is running jockless but
featuring morning news and weather updates.

Detroit Sports 105.1 Announces New Afternoon Show

Greater Media Sports Detroit Sports 105.1 WMGC Detroit is launching a new
afternoon show hosted by station PD Dave Shore and former Detroit Piston
Lindsey Hunter. The pair replace Matt Dery and Drew Sharp who are exiting
the station. Greater Media announces former Detroit Piston Lindsey Hunter
and Program Director Dave Shore have been named as the new afternoon drive
team on Detroit Sports 105.1FM. The duo can be heard weekdays from 2-6pm
beginning on Monday, March 21st on the station. Hunter enjoyed a 17-year
NBA career as a player (1993-2010), appearing in 937 regular-season games
with the Detroit Pistons (1993-00, 2003-08), Milwaukee Bucks (2000-01), Los
Angeles Lakers (2001-02), Toronto Raptors (2002-03) and Chicago Bulls
(2008-10). In 17 seasons, Hunter advanced to the playoffs 12 times, playing
in 147 postseason contests and capturing NBA titles with the Lakers (2002)
and Pistons (2004). Originally selected by the Pistons with the 10th
overall pick in the 1993 NBA Draft, the Jackson State University alum
averaged 8.5 points, 2.7 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per game
during his NBA career. Following his retirement from the NBA in 2010,
Hunter worked with the Bulls as a player development assistant before
joining the Phoenix Suns. He served as the Suns player development
coordinator, having originally joined the teams scouting department in
2012. Hunter was named by the Suns interim head coach during the 2012-2013
season and most recently was assistant coach in Golden State with Mark
Jackson in the 2013-2014 season. Shore joined the station in March of 2015
as Program Director. Prior to that, he was on air and the operations
manager of ESPN Radios KSPN-AM/ ESPN LA 710 in Los Angeles, California,
where the radio veteran was responsible for overseeing daily operations and
special events, as well as managing team relationships for the past four
years. In addition, Shore was heard on the air as the pre-game host of the
Los Angeles Lakers broadcasts as well as other programs. In addition he has
hosted nationally on ESPN Radio for a number of years, as well as serving
as sideline reporter for ESPN Radios national college football radio
coverage. Shore served as TV play by play for Bob Knights last four years
coaching at Texas Tech. The broadcasting veteran also was pre-game and
sideline reporter for seven seasons with the Dallas Mavericks as well as
lead reporter covering the Dallas Cowboys. He has also been on air in radio
or TV news in Portland, Oregon, Raleigh, NC, Lexington, Kentucky and
Evansville, Indiana. They replace Matt Dery and Drew Sharp.

WMIA Miami Flips Back To Rhythmic AC

iHeartMedia Hot AC My 93.9 WMIA-FM Miami Beach has flipped back to Rhythmic
AC 93.9 MIA on Friday afternoon. WMIA-FM is now positioning as Rhythm from
the 80s to Now with observers in the market stating that the music is
centered around 2004. The station will now be locally hosted from 6am-8pm
daily with Joey Brooks remaining in mornings and as Program Director, GiGi
Diaz in middays, and sister Y100 WHYI night host Valentine adding
additional afternoon duties on 93.9 in place of Ryan Seacrest. The station
previously was known as 93.9 MIA with a Rhythmic AC format from December
2009 until its rebranding as My 93.9 following a gradual shift to Hot AC
musically in August 2014. The station has a 2.3 share when it relaunched as
My and exits with a 2.2 share in the February 2016 PPMs.
