WestCoast Media has flipped Urban Oldies/Talk 1150 WTMP Egypt Lake/Tampa FL
to Classic Hip-Hop Boomin 1150. With the change the station has dropped
Reach Medias syndicated Tom Joyner, DL Hughley and Al Sharpton shows. West
Coast Media operates WTMP via LMA from Tama Broadcastings bankruptcy
receiver Scott Savage. INSTANT INSIGHT: It wouldnt surprise us to see
Radio-One send a cease desist on use of the Boomin name just as it did to
Flinn Broadcastings 96.1 WIVG Memphis in January 2015.

Rumba Already Expands In Tampa

Just a couple weeks after launching Spanish Tropical Rumba 106.5 WLTQ-FM
Sarasota FL, iHeartMedia is expanding the stations coverage in the Tampa
market. The Rumba programming is now being heard on 100.3 W262CP Bayonet
Point/103.5 WFUS-HD2 Gulfport to reach the northern portions of Pinellas
County including Palm Harbor, Dunedin, and Clearwater. It replaces jockless
Alternative Alt 100.3 on those signals. Additionally 106.5 WLTQ-FM has
changed its call letters to the more Rumba sounding WRUB.

WDYE Becomes Dyer County Country

Forever South has flipped 94.3 WDYE Dyer TN from a simulcast of News/Talk
1390 WTJS Jackson to Country. Positioned as Dyer County Country, the
station is focusing on the area northwest of Jackson including Dyersburg.
WDYE changed call letters from WTJJ in January in preparation of the flip.
The former Talk programming continues on 1390 WTJS and 94.1 W231BU East
Union.
