it now" deal for $1100.00 USD.

I emailed him for permission to bid. Seller offered it to me on a
"buy it now" for $700.00 USD.

In subsequent emails to both of us, he was asking us to email him our
best offer.

I have seen that auction. I notice now the seller is "not a registered
user". I also noted from previous Ebay visits, this same seller seemed
to have quite a number of IC781's for sale/auction. $1100 for an IC781
is a "too good to be true price".

I have seen similar scams run with service monitors until Ebay shut them
down.
