Default Question AD-35 Adapter

I just bought a few Comet AD-35 Adapters (SO-239 to Stud) so you can use
ham sticks on a typical uhf mount on a mobile setup. Anyways , None will
screw on all the way on any Comet or Diamond bracket I have (I tried 6).
It will go about 1/2 way and lock up..Anyone?????

Found out Comet is stopping production on the AD-35 , it is S.A.E. and
should be Metric!!!
