Personally, I wouldn't replace anything in any radio with the power on. Suppose he dropped the battery and it shorted out something on the board. I bet he would be wishing he used common sense and turned the rig off. The battery is a CR2032 3V available at any Radio Shack or camera store. If it is soldered to the board, you can salvage a holder of an old motherboard and use it. But please, turn the power off no matter wat. The TS50 is too good a radio to damage. Memory channels can be replaced a lot cheaper than a radio can. Max |
