I think that SSTV, Amtor, Packet, Satellites are irrelevant too! I had
to learn something about them to pass my exam didn't I? There are numerous things that I'll never use and couldn't give a rats ass about that I had to learn because it's part of the hobby. The only difference is between them & CW is that CW is learned by ear, not by memorization. Sorry Bill, the anti-code types are just a pack of seriously lazy people. CW is NOT the reason ham radio has stagnated, it's because of technology (Internet). Anyone with half an ounce of effort can pass the CW exam now.
