Hi Jimmie, The difference is, if you have the instruments suggested in these articles offered by Tom, then you have a basis for making determinations. Anything else is the subjectivity of stamp collecting. In some places it is quite common and in other places people are totally unfamilar with it. The latter would have been my case if I had never moved from South Ga. From my perpective it does seem to track humidity or rather the lack of humidity. IS this not correct? Humidity is a correlative, certainly. Temperature and water content are strongly linked, but most of us are only aware of RELATIVE not absolute humidity.
