I want to mount my 10 meter Vertical directly above my MA5B Mini Beam.
Is there a rule to this. I have about 6-12" above the beam. Can I expect any interaction. I am thinking not because of the different polarity's. Can someone elaborate...interested to hear direct from you. The vertical will have radials. Thank you Mike Manning KB3IUL |

Hi Mike, Not particularly if the Mini Beam is properly choked (read balanced) such that the vertical falls within its null(s). The vertical will have radials. Well! That certainly threw a spanner into the gears if you mean to have more than two of them (what's wrong with a vertical dipole?) and those two aligned with the boom (to observe the null(s)). 73's Richard Clark, KB7QHC |
