I am glad to hear this, I was a bit discouraged by a post about reduced
perofrmance. i understand that going to 1/4 wave will giv eme reduced
performance, but glad to hear you can still deal with the concrete jungle. I
work in Columbia, SC We have a good bunch of repeaters in the City (Even an
IRLP!) You folks have been very helpful. (Why did I wait so long to ask?)
sheesh.

I use a diamond NR72BNMO aboutt 14" or so. I get great results and it
is very low profile. I live around Memphis, TN, and I work on the
other side of town from our repeater and consistantly get in on low
power. Gain is only about 2.1 on 2M and 70CM, but does me well.

Can you at least bend something over? Comet makes a series of VHF/UHF

Your other choice is to mount the antenna on a bumper, and live with

reduced
performance...

I park in a parking garage at work, so my 2 meter anetnnae won't fit on

the
car (P.T. Cruiser) while in the garage. Removing it, just before

entering
the garage is not an option. Does anyone have a recomendation on an
alternate 2 meter antennae?
