I have the 2 meter version and had 2 of the 3 radials snapped off by a
wayward tree limb during a big storm. Both broke at the end of the
thread. My neighbor was able to re-thread THE OTHER END, and as a
bonus, re-threaded the broken off end. The radials may be a little
short (by less than an inch), but they still work as well as ever.
Also, 36 inch aluminum rods can be purchased at Home Depot for around
$4 per rod. These could also be threaded and cut to length.
