One variation I saw was very memorable. One of the fellows brought a
hunting crossbow to field day back in the 60's. The line took off into the
blue yonder over a stand of 70-80 foot trees pulling some 200 yards of line
off the reel. Never found any of the sinkers or lines he lost.


Ummm. The fact that the bolt was labeled "SNARK" might have given some
warning of this, I suppose...
