Look in the ARRL antenna handbook for "shunt feeding".
That is appx the same as a gamma match, etc.. Many feed towers this way. IE: you drop a parallel wire down from a certain point on the tower or mast, and usually is combined with a capacitor. Directive elements don't work too well with verticals. Better to feed as phased arrays. MK |
