I'd stay away from Antenna Warehouse if I were you. I bought one of their antennas after they offered free shipping. When I paid for it and asked to have it shipped USPS, they asked for $4.50 for shipping, claiming that although the auction didn't specify that they would only ship free via UPS, they had the right to charge me more because I didn't want the item delivered to my house. I filled a complaint with the BBB and they didn't reply to it, so it's on record with them as well. Also, with their antennas, you get what you pay for. http://www.buxcomm.com has good antennas for reasonable prices. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 73! de Andy KC2SSB - WPYI880 (GMRS) Beachwood, NJ USA! Your childish BBB harassment attempt WAS responded to by us.
It's called consumer rights, not harrassment. The last letter sent to you by the BBB went unresponded to. Besides, you are the one that harrassed me by sending me threatening email, then when I blocked one email address, you sent me more threatening email from another email address. As for your unfounded jab at the quality of our products I have one of your antennas. It's very shaky . The top of the antenna (it's a dualband vertical) didn't even have any kind of cap to keep out water. I had to rig something up myself. whining over $4.00 $4.50 Copy of e-mail received from BBB on 09/02/03 Copy of e-mail received from BBB on 09/04/03: Return-Path: Received: from rly-xa02.mx.aol.com (rly-xa02.mail.aol.com [172.20.105.71]) by air-xa01.mail.aol.com (v95.12) with ESMTP id MAILINXA13-563f5788bd3d6; Thu, 04 Sep 2003 14:48:05 -0400 Received: from bbbnt1.desmoines.bbb.org ([12.13.109.51]) by rly-xa02.mx.aol.com (v95.1) with ESMTP id MAILRELAYINXA26-563f5788bd3d6; Thu, 04 Sep 2003 14:47:26 -0400 Received: by BBBNT1 with Internet Mail Service (5.0.1460.8) id SHVFXC85; Thu, 4 Sep 2003 13:28:48 -0500 Message-ID: 011C79B762F2D011921D00805F0595D6421E16@BBBNT1 From: Carrie Hourigan To: '" Subject: Antenna Warehouse complaint Date: Thu, 4 Sep 2003 13:28:47 -0500 MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Internet Mail Service (5.0.1460.8) Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="----_=_NextPart_001_01C37312.6142B0C0" X-AOL-IP: 12.13.109.51 X-AOL-SCOLL-SCO 0:XXX:XX X-AOL-SCOLL-URL_COUNT: 0 Per your request, I will forward your last letter of complaint to the company in attempt to resolve this issue. As someone who now has one of these antennas laying in a heap in his yard, if you're in an area prone to high winds, I'd think twice. The antenna was a fine functioning one, but upon an evening of 45-60mph wind gusts, and a year in the air, it crumpled. From looking at it, I'd say their cost savings comes from a cheaper fiberglass tubing on the exterior. john |

Hello John,
The one you bought back on 05/06/02 is not one of the current models that we are selling. Sometime back when it was brought to our attention that the former models of these antennas had wind survivability problems we changed manufactures. The new manufacture is providing much heavier duty units that do not exhibit the same problem. The former models came from he http://www.ningbo-export.com/prosound The current models are coming from he http://www.greaterland.com If you'll gather up the pieces of the damaged one from the heap and send them back to us along with a copy of your sales receipt we will see if we can get it replaced for you.
