Do you know of any place in Southern California that doesn't have such
restrictions? "Bill Turner" wrote in message ... ORIGINAL MESSAGE: On Tue, 01 Aug 2006 16:20:27 -0400, Michael Coslo wrote: Why on earth would anyone live in one of those places? And yes there are alternatives. I live in a development that doesn't have that that kind of insane meddling going on. I can have a tower even, as long as it has enough room to fall down within my yard and not hit the neighbors. ------------ REPLY SEPARATOR ------------ Couldn't agree more. Move away from the Fascist Homeowners Association and get in an area where people know enough to leave each other alone! Your blood pressure will go down, your enjoyment of life will go up and you might live long enough to Work All Stations. Ok, a tad exaggerated but you get the idea. 73, BIll W6WRT |

Can't say personally, I've always lived near Americas heartland (Used to be called the Great American Desert before they found it was a wheat growers paradise). Harold KD5SAK |

On a clear day, I can see the Pacific Ocean from my yard and we have no HOA and no antenna restrictions in the CC&R's. My area was developed in 1968 and the CC&R's are up for renewal in a few years. I need to pay attention to that event. I might lose the right to put up more antennas and be "grandfathered" for only what I have now. |

Come visit sometime and I'll take you on roads where you can drive for hours and never see another car or person, not to mention a Homeowner's Association. :-) The county I live in, San Bernardino, is larger than nine of the states. Think about that for a moment. How come we don't have two senators? Bill, W6WRT |

I'm next? Think you're not? Beware the legislators. You obviously don't realize how large SoCal is! Come visit sometime and I'll take you on roads where you can drive for hours and never see another car or person, not to mention a Homeowner's Association. :-) Apparently they even don't have call books there where you are! :-) I've lived here since the middle of last century. Heck, I own property 10 miles down the road from you. The county I live in, San Bernardino, I guess they must not have mail delivery out there. According to your FCC records, you pick up your mail in Los Angeles. is larger than nine of the states. None of the other counties wanted any of it. :-) Think about that for a moment. How come we don't have two senators? We do. And you can have 'em. ac6xg |

Are you talking about Silverado? I haven't the foggiest where it is but I guarantee it isn't ten miles down the road from me. I guess they must not have mail delivery out there. According to your FCC records, you pick up your mail in Los Angeles. Busted call. I have never lived in or picked up mail in Los Angeles. Try again. Bill, W6WRT |
