an expert on professional radio broadcasting standards, just an Old
Time Radio fan. So do you have a list of favorites or not?

have insufficient motivation or time to draw up a definitive top ten list
accurately rated according to all the criteria which you have specified.

Lists of one's favorite top tens are entirely pointless anyways,
and the thing which is of interest and value to others, which you
appear to be intent on squashing, is meaningful discussion of why
shows should be on a top ten list.

I do but not in any definitive order which you are obviously not interested
in, nor why those shows would be on my list or anybody else's list.

then again I also always liked Johnny Dollar, which is kind of cheesy but
still great fun.

I didn't like Richard Diamond quite as much. But there is a huge universe
of stuff out there which is more or less forgotten today and I think that is
a shame.

Hmm... I don't see any posts at all in there. I gather from the limited
headers that you posted there that it's junk coming from Google Groups.
You may want to talk to your usenet admin about dumping all posts from
Google Groups... an increasing number of people are doing that and it pretty
much eliminates all the spam. Google's usenet service seems to be run
unattended.

Well that show does not quite have the gimmick of the Dollar
show with the expenses tagline, so as you no doubt concur, is
more just a run of the mill detective show probably to compete
with the other higher profile detective characters.

are in the USD 20 price range, which although high by todays
prices for CDs is rather more reasonable for such specialist
material.

I only looked at the overview page which just had (CD) under the image
and the price of USD 50.

Going to the page with all the details, it is 8 *audio* CDs, so in fact
it works out to USD 6.125 per CD which is of course very reasonable.

If I got the impression that it was one CD, I would suggest that a few
other people may as well, if they just skim the page.

Well they could do if it was a data CD with MP3 files. In fact they do
also offer those (320 kbps) for USD 45 which you would admit is effectively
more expensive per bit.
