I'd like to see that in actual use.

They don't put crap out of the speaker when
selective fading hits --they squelch instead. Most people would see
those features as acceptable tradeoffs.


I don't for one minute believe that people who wouldn't accept signal
fading will find complete muting an acceptable alternative.
