No. CB is noisy and full of foul language (on standard AM, sideband ops are much better).
MURS equipment is hard to come by, but is 2 watt FM with external antennas.

Don't let Stew (Horseshoe7) fill you full of BS. FRS does what it's supposed to do:
A short range communication device. For some it's all they need...
