Sad....but funny. Might make a decent 440 yagi tho. Throw a tuner on that little guy and it might tune broadband, and it could be portable. Too much fun for one keyclown rolling down the highway, should be a law against it. |

Only difference is the key-clowns will have their knees in the breeze, and dogie will be drowning in his own low power swill. That shows how much you know Steveo, a quick search of this NG will reveal a guy named Brass who was peddlin these star gun CB antennas. Umm, did you see how small they are after trimming the vertical to the happy medium? |
After all the assholes have their ****ing contest to see who can make the
most inane comment about the Star Gun, This is the bottom line.........................Troy builds them and they WORK! Train "Night Ranger" wrote in message m... Since he top-posted, I'll do the same. They work only in the mind of the
fool who buys one. "Train" wrote in message ... Playing Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills" full blast thru the PA system oughtta add some cool effect.... |

I couldn't get past the first pic, but I've heard that comparison before. I swear that first antenna looks like a real tunable widow maker for certain vhf frequencies, and directional. Shorten the vertical till it's close enuff to transmit. Look at it again. I'll turn it with the vice grips while you talk. My alternator is only 170 amps so don't be long winded! Toss a second one in line,,,,maybe a Leece (you know, for back up) g? |

Grab a book, perhaps an ARRL antenna guide,,,and learn all you can about tuners. It will prevent you from embarassing yourself to no end. |
