What was broadcast from the ARRL website was worrisome. The take I have on it is this: where there is an egress, there also exists an ingress. If the lines are filtered so as not to cause interference, then they will not be interferred with. 20 to 50 watts is all it takes into a dipole located 50 or 100 feet away from power lines to totally disable BPL.
