Default 67ltd Sharp cb remote

I figured out why 2 of my 4 units did not work.
I tried 2 cb shops and they were of zero help.
If the mic goes bad, the sound will jump from
silence to booming. If the mic is good, the
sound will gradually go from silence to loud.
Apparently the mics (volume & channel in mic)
become corroded and fail after many years...
