Sox overpay and watch him decline with the Sox.

The only positive part about this trade, is is weakens the Sox. The have
holes at CF, SS, 1B.

I don't like him. What I wanted was Beckett. But I we didn't have the
goods for him.

I don't like him for four years like he wants but he did lead the AL in ERA
last season. He was an inning eater but the Tribe rarely gave him any run
support so his W-L record is major skewed. A two year deal would be great
but he pitched on a one year under-paid contract last season to prove his
arm was OK, so now he's ready to get paid.

The Tribe signed Paul Byrd recently so that will be all they can afford in
starting pitchers this year.
