Radio scofflaws have always been with us - in every radio service. But
a new breed of "outlaw" CBer came along recently: folks with no respect for any one or any law. Folks who think they have a "right" to operate illegal CB and not be criticized for it. These "anything goes" people took over the CB band from the fine folks who were there for decades, and in many cases forced them off the air. The Aaron Voobner Organization (named for its founder, Aaron H. Voobner) is an activist group designed to respond to the supporters of illegal CB, many of whom continually "flame" the rec.radio.cb newsgroup and otherwise attempt to intimidate proponents of legal CB operation. There is nothing responsible about operating illegally. Illegal CB operation is done irrespective of FCC Part 95 and it's intended purpose. Loudmouthed, irresponsible individuals who promote illegal CB operation deserve little, if any respect from legal CBers. They give legal CBers a bad name in the eyes of the public. NOTE: The rights of individuals to express opinions in favor of breaking FCC Law is protected under the Constitution, as are the rights of those who express opinions in opposition to them. The Voobner Organization maintains a formidable array of resources by sharing a common screen name ) utilized by a staff of concerned individuals to post opinions supporting legal CB. We also express our opinions to legislators, auction sites, equipment manufacturers, amateur radio organizations, law enforcement agencies and public officials. It is hoped that continued criticism of and opposition to illegal CB practices (such as "keydowns", CB amps, etc.) offends the self-proclaimed illegals to the degree that most of them will eventually get tired of the newsgroup and go away. That will open up rec.radio.cb for discussing the topic it was intended for: CB radio. This is the Real AKC, not a bunch of gay or homesexual posts, which is why Doug (N8...) is no longer a member. -Aaron |

then worrying about a few extra channels and a couple of extra watts. Aaron invites you to get a life in 2006. Hurry up. Time's wasting.......... |

And how come there are so many HAMS acting like rules don't matter? I was thoroughly disappointed when I saw one post where a ham advised a CBer that an illegal 250 watt amp would be better for him than an illegal 75 watt amp. It's very sad. -Aaron H. Voobner |
