I bought a used A99 a figured I would give it to my brother to put up in his attic. so he monted the antenna on a PVC mast that he made in the 20' tall attic. It was a 1.5 (SWR) 1 & 40. My father decided to play with it and now it is showing infinity on both 1 & 40 turning the rings changes little it never drops below 3.0. can someone tell me the correct way to tune the antenna (this way I can make sure I am doing everything right) also does the antenna need to be grounded by anything other then coax (ie a ground strap to cold water pipe or something alont them lines)... please help Jim Should have left it where it was. Call Solarcon, and see if they can tell you the positions of the rings. Otherwise, hang a 1/2 dipole vertically. Should work the same. Vinnie S. |
