I still keep an eye on this forum,
but it's gone so far downhill that
it's hardly worth the effort.

Hi Bill

Been a few years since
I looked in here. Wonder what I'd see if I
turned on the lights?

Hello, Bert

Long time since I've seen you post; 'course I'm not around that much
anymore. This group is almost the bottom of the pits - a close second to
rec.radio.amateur.policy.

Seems a few folks just get their jollies causing flame wars. Sigh.

Yes, this anti-keyclown is more like the anti-christ. And you're right
about the good heated debates... you won't find that here anymore
because they don't talk about radio much. The group seems to think that
calling people everything under the sun... with a few threats thrown in
for good measure is the topic here. I guess since they don't know
anything about radio much... it's the only thing that'll put them up on
the board... LOL

Some folk only hawk CB amps in their sig file without quoting the text
they're responding to.

Me too! This place absolutely stinks but I still peek in every so
often. The anti keydowner guy is absolutely horrible! He never takes a
break. They complain about the way this place was but we would
exchange a lot of good CB and amplifier/antenna info and even some
good heated debates. I even miss that crazy guy called painkiller.
Anybody remember him?

I have to disagree with you guys. A simple click of the kill file. This group is
better than it was 2 years ago.

This group is like sporadic E, you never know what's coming down the pike.

Is that CW shorthand? I'm looking forward to upgrade when CW goes bye-bye.
My 2950 beacons. It wants to be used on 10 meters! You're too close
for F-layer skip. Good luck on sporadic E skip. I've never F skipped closer
then 300 miles. Anything closer is E-skip.

We've kicked the Brazilians from *BALT* (node 86553). I've been parking
my echolink there and lurking. If you drop in later and shout, I might
be back. I've got to go drop off an unfudged PC to a customer shortly
after 9 tonight. Don't use Limewire or WinMX. These programs are pipelines
for virii and spyware straight into your PC. The only fix is to remove
the HD, plug it into another machine, scan to remove the crap, then backup the
data, then DBAN the drive and reload the OS from scratch. It's now done. At 9,
the radio program will be done, I can stop the recording and torrent it later.
