would find another way if it were me. And I definitely would have the permission of the repeater trustee is I decided to go ahead anyway. He might take a dim view of the fine he had to pay if the FCC and I see this matter the same way. Admittedly worst case scenario but accountants (except those at Enron) are trained to anticipate all losses and provide for no gains. With the relaxed rules such as ordering a pizza legal now I do not see any problems with this as all he is doing is ordering a service and the regular telephone is not possiable. I do agree he should talk it over with the repeater trustee. One big problem is that it will not be full duplex and will probably be limited to 2400 baud depending on the band. Maybe 9600 on a good day on a good band and radio. The duplex problem could also be overcome but will take some work unless the repeater will crossband. |
