JA - JAPAN
The JARL will activate ten stations in different regions of Japan
during the upcoming IARU HF Championship Contest 2008 on July 12/13.
All QSOs with these special event stations will be confirmed via buro.
Following stations will be activated:

8N1HQ 15m SSB Kimitsu City, Chiba
8N1HQ 160m CW/10m SSB Minato Ku, Tokyo
8N2HQ 80m CW Chita Gun, Aichi
8N2HQ 80m SSB Nakatsugawa City, Gifu
8N2HQ 15m CW Susono City, Shizuoka
8N3HQ 40m CW Kobe City, Hyogo
8N3HQ 20m CW Miki City, Hyogo
8N3HQ 10m CW Nara City, Nara
8N4HQ 40m SSB Okayama City, Okayama
8N8HQ 20m SSB Iwamizawa City, Hokkaido

JW - SVALBARD, EU-063
OM Mika,OH2FFP (ex-OJ1ABOA), will work at the Kinnvika base on
Nordaustlandet (EU-063) for twenty days during July. More information
about the scientific Kinnvika base can be found on the website:

V3 - BELIZE
Eddy,K5WQG, and Colin,KU5B, will show up as V31MR and V31UB mostly in
CW but also in SSB/RTTY from Placencia from Jul 7-21. They will take
part in the multi/single category of the IARU Contest.
QSL routes: V31UB via KU5B, V31MR via N5ET.

V6 - FEDERATED STATES OF MICRONESIA, OC-059
Dick,AD7AF, will stay on Kosrae Island (OC-059) from Jul 6-24.
He will sign V63WWA mostly in CW and some SSB/PSK31/RTTY on 80-10m.
QSL via AD7AF.

VK9/X - CHRISTMAS ISLAND, OC-002
Three OMs and a YL will activate Christmas Island (OC-002) with up to
three stations simultaneously on 160-10m from Jul 8-20. Two of them
will run with 100 watts and the theird one will be driven by a power
amplifier. The OPs are Manuel,CT1BWW (VK9XWW, CW/SSB/RTTY/PSK31/SSTV),
Juan,EA3GHZ (VK9XHZ, CW/SSB), Juan,EA5EOR (VK9XOR, SSB/RTTY/PSK31/SSTV)
and YL Claudina,EC5BME, who is going to work in SSB as VK9XME.
Pilot stations will be ZS1AU (Africa), JA8BMK (Asia), EA4TD (Europe),
ZL2AL and VK2CZ (Pacific) and K4SV for North America.
QSLs via EA4URE or via their homecalls.

VP5 - TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS, NA-002
VP5/WB2REM is working in CW and SSB on 6-160m from Jul 2-12.
OM Jim confirms QSL cards only direct.

VP9 - BERMUDA ISLANDS, NA-005
Ralph,K9ZO, and his XYL are going to spend their holidays on the
Bermudas (NA-005) during the month of July. Yaou can work Ralph as
K9ZO/VP9 on 30m, 17m, 12m, 6m and a little bit in the IARU Contest.

VU - INDIA
Prasad,VU2PTT, will represent the Amateur Radio Society of India (ARSI)
operating the HQ station AT6T in the IARU HF World Championship Contest
Prasad can use this callsign from Jul 1 until Sep 30 and plans to take
part in other contests as well (SAC, WAE...).
QSL cars for VU2PTT can be sent via the bureau or direct.
All QSOs will be uploaded to the LoTW later.

YN - NICARAGUA
Wayne,W5KDJ, is going to hit the airwaves as YN2KDJ using the station
of YN2N in Granada from Jul 3-14. He prefers working in RTTY and CW on
160m (1808/1842 kHz) and 80m (3585 kHz) and plans to participate in the
IARU HF World Championship. Wayne confirms QSLs also via LoTW and eQSL.

ZD8 - ASCENSION ISLAND, AF-003
Jim,N6TJ, is staying on Ascension Island (AF-003) from Jul 1-15.
Listen for Jim as ZD8Z in CW/SSB on all bands and in the IARU Contest.
His new QSL manager is AI4U who confirms also via the QSL bureau.

3V - TUNISIA
Following stations will be QRV during the 28th Arab Scout Jamboree:
TS1ASC Jun 23 until Jul 22
TS1MSC Jul 6 until Aug 5.ust
TS28ASJ Jul 23 until Aug 2.August
TS1CUBS Aug 6-15. QSLs should be sent via the Tunisian QSL bureau.

ENGLAND, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
Walt,G3NYY, will activate GB50OT in CW, SSB and digital modes on
80-6m on Jul 6 and Jul 13 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the
Radio Amateur Old Timers Association (RAOTA).
QSLs direct or via bureau to G3VBE.

SPAIN, SPECIAL EVENT STATIONS
The special event stations AO2008EXPO, AO0EXPO and EH2O will be QRV
from the EXPO 2008 which takes place in Saragossa until Sep 15.
Radio amateurs from the provinces Huesca, Saragossa and Teruel may
use the special prefixes AO (for EA), AM (for EB) and AN (for EC).

SILENT KEY: Henk van Hensbergen,PA0KHS, sadly passed away on June 22.
Henk was the QSL manager of 9V1CW, 9M2/PF5X, VK6ERA, S61FD (2005/2006)
and S65X (PACC 2006). These QSLs are handled now by PF5X (Enno J Korma,
De Strengen 34, 6581 JZ Malden, The Netherlands).
The QSO dats shall be uploaded to the LoTW during autumn this year.
