Default Campaign signs as insulators for homebrew ladderline

Now that election day is over, go harvest some of those campaign lawn signs that had sprouted like weeds all over town. You want the ones that are made of what looks like corrugated plastic, more accurately square cells that run up and down inside. As mentioned in a QST article a few months ago, cut the signs up into pieces that you can then use as spacers to hold a pair of wires (like 14 AWG stripped house wire) apart a desired separation, to create ladder line of some desired impedance. Use some hot melt glue to keep the spacers in position on the wires. Position the glue so it doesn't trap water.
