QRP-ARCI Officer Election

The QRP Amateur Radio Club International has been without a President in
recent days. That has changed. The Board of Directors have elected the
following:

President Preston Douglas, WJ2V
Vice-President Kathy Bromley, WQ5T
Contest Chair Jeff Hetherington, VA3JFF


The group will now turn its attention to organizing FDIM 2017.

Kentucky QSO Party

The 2016 Kentucky QSO Party takes place this coming weekend. There have
been a few minor changes to the rules for 2016 primarily that all
categories are SINGLE transmitter.

Sponsored by the Western Kentucky DX Association, plaques will be awarded
to the highest-scoring station in each of the accepted categories. In
addition. one plaque will go to the highest-scoring QRP Station (5 Watts or
Less outside KY), another will be awarded to the highest-scoring Low Power
(150 Watts or Less outside KY).



Plaque’s will also go to the highest-scoring U.S. Station outside KY, the
highest-scoring DX station (outside U.S.), and a certificate will be
awarded to the ham with the highest score in his/her state.
