Dan/W4NTI I worked both of you. I struggled with S7 power line buzz (which was not there as recently as the CW NAQP) the first night and part of the second, then the buzzing stopped when a rain shower moved in around midnight Saturday. Condx seemed quite good with a few Europeans pushing close to S9; OK5W stands out as the big signal. Time to hunt down the arcing power line I guess. -- Ray WQ5L Hope my Alabama qso helped you out. As for the Power Line noise. I've been fighting that ever since I moved in here. About 5 years now. It is a constant battle. Fix one, another shows up. On and On and On. At least Alabama Power is NOW being helpful. Of course I had to get Public Service, FCC and anyone else that would listen on their case. Good luck. You will probably find it is loose or burnt insulators and lightning arrestors and associated hardware. Dan/W4NTI |
