By now, every US-station will have worked XF4 on one mode/band, at least that is my impression from seeing permanent questions as to 160, RTTY or PSK activities. Not here... not even heard. (someone spotted them last night on 160, but when I turned on the rig the Spanish-accented operator on that frequency turned out to be EA9IE!) have rarely been active during these times. Heard them fine on 40 m on Monday, but the US wall made it impossible to work them with anything less than a Yagi and kilowatt combo. Now you know how I feel about the YA and YI operationsgrin... (actually I did manage to work YI9ZF on 17m three days ago. It wasn't easy, the prop was just barely there. ) Luckily I don't need XF4, but it would be nice to get them on CW, and/or some of the low bands. -- Doug Smith W9WI Pleasant View (Nashville), TN EM66 http://www.w9wi.com |
