Otherwise, you might make sure the ft100d wasn't screwed up when it
"was taken out of band." If nothing else, the warranty is probably
void, and you'll have to finance your own servicing.


I doubt the warrenty was voided by modding it. People mod them all the time for
"MARS" and "CAP" use and it's perfectly fine. Since there seems to be only one
mod for MARS/CAP, it should be ok. It will also allow you to operate on the new
60 meter band!
