The 8100 is a fantastic radio, one of the few that can do cross-band repeat, and it's small too. The reason I asked about a 2m with a remote head is because I rarely use 70cm. I am well aware that almost every dualband has a remote head. I am not sure why 2m radios aren't made this way. In any case, if I am going to get a dualbander, it's going to be a Kenwood TM-G707A. Fair enough. Though I have the 8100, I too don't use 70cm at all, and wonder why they don't make a single-band radio with a remote head. |
