The 820 was built before the WARC bands. To modify
an 820 so it covers the WARC bands would require
loosing one of the preset bands, ie 40, 20, 15 or 10.
What one can do is use the "Fix" position for WARC
which, unfortunately, would not give one the ability
to move around with the VFO.

I have an 820S and from the tech manual this, in my
opinion, is the only way to put an 820 on WARC
without sacrificing a band switch position.

Maybe someone else has an idea on how to do this
but at the moment this is all I can provide.

Hi Guys (and girls), I have been searching for some time to locate the
article on adding the WARC bands to the 820 but have not been able to
find it, anyone got any info regarding this mod.
All help greatly appreciated.
