Have had some good luck with those I bought. I can't say the same for a
friend of mine. He bought a receiver kit. He put it together and it didn't
work. He brought it to me and I checked all his work. It was fine. I did
some testing. The thing was deaf. We even took it to yet a 3rd party for
their opinion. Same as mine. My friend called the company and they wanted
$70 I believe to test and repair. The damned thing only cost about $30 to
start with. It was a piece of CRAP. G.W.

I have built a few. I don't particularly like the order that they use to
insert the parts. I have built dozens of HeathKits and their way makes a lot
more sense to me: put the shortest parts on first, then go to the taller
ones. Ramsey tends to put all the parts in one area, making the board
impossible to sit flat.

But the few I built did run just fine.

Don't know about Ramsey but do a search for North Coutry Radio, good
quality and run and owned by a ham.
