Charles stick with standard 50/50 mix of lead acid solder for most electrical connections. Acid core solder will eat your electronics - save it for patching metal buckets or something. Use rosin core solder for electronics. the 50/50 refers to the lead/tin ratio. At 850 F makes good solid connnection, 850 sounds a bit hot; sometimes the 750 on our unit here at work seems a bit hot. -Jason kg4wsv |
