I got a pair of professional grade, heavy duty self locking extendable paint
roller handles, they extend up to 24' and are heavy enough for a small beam or a
larger vertical. I used some key rings to attach the top guys slipped over the
top threads.

Now that is a really clever idea? Will look into it. A few other
applications come to mind.
